Pointsize Wolffe provided in-kind sponsorship for Show Scotland 2008, the museums and galleries big events weekend.

Organised by Museums Galleries Scotland, Show Scotland is an annual events weekend when museums and galleries open their doors to a wonderful variety of events over the May bank holiday weekend.

Following evaluation from audiences and participating venues in 2007, Museums Galleries Scotland identified that the branding needed to be reworked to reflect the broad target audience.

Museums Galleries Scotland approached Pointsize Wolffe in November 2007 to provide in-kind sponsorship for Show Scotland 2008.  Pointsize Wolffe rose brilliantly to the challenge of creating a new brand and designing the marketing materials.

Speaking on the announcement, Joanne Orr, CEO of Museums Galleries Scotland. said:

“We are thrilled that our partnership with Pointsize Wolffe has achieved this recognition.   Museums Galleries Scotland organise Show Scotland on a small budget and support from Pointsize Wolffe and our other sponsors is integral to helping us  deliver the annual big events weekend.

We are currently seeking a main sponsor for Show Scotland 2009 and beyond and being short-listed for an A&B award will help boost our efforts.

The benefits that supporting the arts bring to corporate organisations are well documented and the A&B Awards are an excellent way of recognizing these partnerships.”

Andrew Wolffe, Creative/managing director, Pointsize Wolffe & Co.

“We were delighted to be involved in this exciting project and like to think that good design has contributed to the success of the event.”

The project has been shortlisted under the Small Business Sponsor category.  Winners will be announced 21st October 2008.
