Have you completed a National Strategy Delivery Plan questionnaire?

< Back to news listing

After a summer of travelling to meet with and discuss the National Strategy at successful events across the country, Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) has just one roadshow event remaining.

This is a key time for museums to help MGS gather as much information as possible to enable us to shape the Delivery Plan and our services, including investment, around the sector’s needs. To ensure you have a say, sign up for one of the last places at our final roadshow event in Glasgow on 11 September through the Roadshow events page.

If you are unable to attend an event it is still really important that you tell us your views so that they might be included in the Delivery Plan priorities for the sector and for investment – download and complete a Delivery Plan Questionnaire and return to strategy@museumsgalleriesscotland.org.uk by 28 September, 2012.

The roadshows allow museums and galleries in Scotland to discuss the development of the National Strategy Delivery Plan. The feedback to date has started to paint a picture of sector views, expectations and challenges for the future. Emerging themes focus on the sector’s needs, including continued support through standards’, access to investment, skills sharing, development and training. Partnerships, collaborative working and networking opportunities have also been major topics for discussion.

Some of the roadshow participants have shared their thoughts about the day, the development of the National Development Body and delivery plan and the challenges they face – they are available to view at http://bit.ly/SgFa8V
