Resources to manage your grant

There are various things to take into account if you are successful in securing funding through Museums Galleries Scotland.

The general advice sheet opposite ‘What to do if you are successful in securing funding’ will take you through these considerations and will give you advice about requirements at each stage of your project, including acceptance.

Making a claim

When the project is complete you should send your Completion Report, if this was requested as part of your award, and a Claim Form together with copies of all receipted invoices and documentation to satisfy any conditions on completion by 11 March. We cannot guarantee payment of projects claimed after this date.

Our Claim Form can be downloaded from the right-hand side menu.

Project reporting

Those who have been succesful in securing a main grant, are required to complete and Interim Project Report by the 31 August. Applicants will be sent a link to this online form at the start of August.

If you have a main grant and you wish or have been asked to provide more regular updates. Or you have a small grant, which you wish to update us on, you can download our Project Progress Report Template for use.

If you have completed the project, and wish to provide a report, you can download our Project Completion Report Template.

Evaluating your project

All projects, receiving over £2,000 (small and main) will be required to complete an MGS Evaluation Report.  This requirement was introduced in 2010-11 and reflects the ongoing work internally to introduce measures to demonstrate the impact of our investment through grants.  The Evaluation Report Guidance provides details of the indicators which we would expect you to report against.

The evaluation report is in the form of a Survey Monkey questionnaire and should be completed online via the following link:
