What to do if unsuccessful

Feedback on why you have not been successful will be contained within your letter.

If your project was turned down due to lack of supporting evidence you may wish to consider reapplying once you are in a position to provide this information.

Please bear in mind that the existence of the grants schemes doesn’t automatically mean you will be successful.  The project needs to align with the priorities of the scheme and meet a demonstrated need.

The Voluntary Arts Network have produced a number of very helpful guides, which you may find useful:

  1. How to write a sucessful funding application
  2. Applying to trust funds
  3. Increasing your chance of grant success

Also, our Other funding section provides information on some other possible funders.
