The Collections Trust and Museums Galleries Scotland have built a strong working partnership in recent years. Our shared vision is for the collections in Scotland’s museums and galleries to be available for use and enjoyment by everyone.
Our shared aim is to encourage and enable development of the Scottish museums and galleries sector in the areas of collections and digital content, in alignment with MGS’s Collections Development Strategy and Digital Content Action Framework.
The aims and objectives of our 2010 – 11 Partnership agreement will be available shortly.
On 2nd March we held an event in Edinburgh to celebrate our partnership and demonstrate what can be achieved through collaborative working. Called Digital Opportunities and Resources the event showcased the wealth and range of the online resources and services we both offer, explored the challenges and opportunities of digital access and provided ideas and ways to use ICT more creatively.
