This former library, now the Alyth museum, features displays on local agrarian history; manse parlour, dairy, laundry and schoolroom, cottage industries, kitchen, written and photographic records.
A famous attraction is the Blairgowrie Drunk’s Cart, which was used in the 19th century to deliver home those who had enjoyed a little too much of the local hospitality. Across the road is theagricultural section with implements and farm life displays.
This interesting museum is dedicated to telling the story of the community and the people that live in it. The museum houses many old photographic images of the village and its environs, as well as farming implements of bygone days. Close-by is the 15th century Pack Bridge.
