Two joined cottages, the earliest part dating from the 18th century, house this local museum. Dr. Simpson, inventor of chloroform, and Paraffin Young, both of Bathgate, are represented in displays. The collection includes fine early photographs, glass from the extinct Bathgate glassworks and Victoriana.
