

The collections of ECA cover the period from seventeenth century to the twenty-first century. The collections include works of art by students and staff, collections acquired from the Royal Institution and the Trustees’ Academy in Edinburgh, and educational materials acquired to support art education such as plaster casts and books. The collections are largely Scottish in origin but include a smaller portion of items acquired from all over the world. There are six collections:
• ‘College Collection’

• Drawing and Painting (within the School of Drawing and Painting/Tapestry)
• Silversmithing & Jewellery (within the School of Design)
• Archives
• ECA Research Collection.
