Item from the Carron Iron Founding collection belonging to Falkirk Museums

Falkirk Museums hold collections relating to the Falkirk Council area. The key components are Roman archaeology relating to the Antonine Wall, a comprehensive ironfounding collection (including Carron material) representing the area’s significant contribution to the industrial era, and collections produced by the potteries in Bo’ness and Dunmore. The service’s facilities are Callendar House in Falkirk and Kinneil Museum in Bo’ness. Falkirk Museums provide the archives service for Falkirk Council and the local area through the History Research Centre at Callendar House.
