Housed under the one roof at The Fergusson Gallery, their collections tell a fascinating story. Containing artwork, sketchbooks, costume, correspondence, photographs and other extensive archives they illustrate their extraordinary talent and creative energy. They also tell a touching love story of a couple who were together for nearly fifty years.
The research facility is available by appointment.
Please note the Fergusson Gallery will close at 5pm on Saturday 15 March and re-open at 10am on Tuesday 1 April 2014
The Fergusson Gallery will be closed for two weeks at the end of March. However, this will enable us to carry out some improvement works which will include re-painting the ground floor of the gallery, installing more effective and energy efficient light fittings, and improving the lay-out of the welcome and retail area.
We apologise for any inconvenience, but please remember that while The Fergusson Gallery is closed, Perth Museum and Art Gallery will be open with new and exciting exhibitions.
On Tuesday 1 April, The Fergusson Gallery will re-open with a new temporary exhibition ‘Win!’ which will feature works by winners of the J D Fergusson Arts Award, and a continuation of the J D Fergusson exhibition in partnership with National Galleries Scotland J D Fergusson: Picture of a Celt.
From the re-opening on 1 April, The Fergusson Gallery will be open all year from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. From May to October, it will be open on Sunday 12 noon to 4.30pm.
To ensure there has been no change to the opening times or details on this page, please check with the museum directly before visiting.
