Library

The surviving book stock from Leadhill's Miners Library amounts to more than 3000 volumes. The majority of the books were acquired prior to 1970 when the library ceased to function. Some of the volumes contain bookplates or stamps which shpw that they once formed part of the book stock of Lanarkshire County Libraries, which operated a branch in the building until 1968.

There are also a small number of artefacts, archives and photographs which relate to the Library's past administration and management.

Community Life

This collection consists of artefacts, archives and photographs relating to most of the significant community orgainsations in the village, past and present, such as the Village Band and the Golf Club.

A few items also relate to former residents of the village, and there is a group of sporting and other trophies, won or presented locally.

Mining

There are a small number of artefacts, archives and photographs directly relating to the working of the area's former mines, and to miners and the families of miners.
