The Art Extraordinary Gallery

The Art Extraordinary Trust houses the Scottish Collection of Art Extraordinary (aslo known as Art Brut or outsider Art). The art arises from an intense compulsion to create an inner personal vision, uninfluenced by artistic convention. These visionary artists come from a wide variety of people. Some have been institutionalised, or isolated, disabled or socially excluded. Their art comed from their unconscious. It is an art of purity and integrity. It is an art that touches the spirit.
