A community museum addressing many aspects of local history, including the Lewis Chessmen (found nearby), Viking occupation, crofting, blackhouses, trades and crafts, archaeology and finds, with extensive genealogical information.

Admission:
Adults £1, members and children free
Open 12-5pm Monday to Saturday, May to September, and at other times by appointment. Groups and schools welcome but best to book.
