Collections Trust & MGS partnership event

Last month MGS announced our new partnership with The Collections Trust which is taking forward both organisations’ aim of making the collections in Scotland’s museums and galleries available for use and enjoyment by everyone.

On Tuesday 2nd March we are holding an event at the Engine Shed in Edinburgh to celebrate this partnership. We invite you to come along to hear about what the two organisations are achieving together and meet the people who are working on your behalf to help you make the most of digital opportunities and resources.

The event will showcase the wealth and range of the online resources and services we both offer, including an introduction to the improvements to Collections Link. We will explore the challenges and opportunities of digital access at the present time and provide ideas on ways to use ICT creatively so you can work more effectively and enhance your services.

The free event is aimed at all sector practitioners working with collections and digital content, whether beginner, expert or with a broad general interest, from all types of museums and galleries in Scotland.

The event will commence at 10-30am and finish at 3.30pm. The venue is fully accessible. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
