MGS joins the Prince’s Mayday Network

< Back to news listing

MGS has recently signed up to join the Prince’s Mayday Network, Scotland’s largest network of organisations committed to tackling climate change.

In line with the recent Copenhagen Summit on Climate Change agenda we are encouraging our members to sign up to any of the six pledges which may be appropriate to you. If you are not yet ready to take one of the six main pledges, you can join the network through the entry pledge which simply states that you are committed to tackling the effects of climate change.

Through our partnership with the Scottish Business in the Community, who run the Prince’s Mayday Network, we will be able to provide additional support to our members on key environmental issues.

While carbon emissions are inevitable with the work we do, we all have a responsibility to ensure that these emissions are at a minimum. This partnership presents an opportunity to learn from each other, to showcase best practice and to set an example within the sector. We will be working with the network to help you measure your carbon emissions and will provide support on ways to engage employees and customers to reduce emissions and how to market your achievements.
