The History of the World project is a national online, TV and radio initiative explores how objects in museums and galleries can tell local and global stories and engage the public with history. The starting point is the BBC Radio 4 series – A History of the World in 100 Objects.
BBC Scotland has been working with museums across the country to feature 60 objects from Scotland on the website. These objects range from the earliest surviving Scottish banknote to Billy Connolly’s banana boots.
The BBC are asking the public to contribute their objects to the website. Visit the History of the World website for details.
