About the Event
Come along to MGS to find out more about approaches to preventing and working through documentation backlogs…
We are delighted to be joined by Sarah Brown from Collections Trust, who will be facilitating this workshop. Sarah will look into how and why documentation backlogs build up, and explore some of the most effective ways of dealing with them. Attendees will also be invited to bring their museum’s Procedural Manuals and Documentation Plans, which will be reviewed and workshopped with Sarah and other attendees.
We will also hear about the practical experiences of working through backlogs from other museums, and there will be ample opportunity to network and have discussions with other attendees and members of Collections Trust and MGS staff.
This workshop is free and open to anyone working or volunteering within the Scottish museum sector. Lunch will be provided.
