Marketing your event

The Festival of Museums team work centrally on promoting the Festival of Museums on a national basis. However, in order to get as much publicity as possible for your events we ask that you be proactive about marketing and publicising your own event. Our PR team can help you and we have information on this site about marketing in the marketing section. Here you can find information on general marketing, but also specific ways of promoting your event, including online What's On listings.

Please ensure, when promoting your event, that you use the Festival of Museums branding - either the logo and / or the template posters provided by Museums Galleries Scotland, or for online listings use the wording 'This event is part of the Festival of Museums'.

To help us with our marketing of the event, please respond to requests for the PR campaign – we will be looking for interview opportunities, photocall opportunities and any quirky information related to your event which we can use as a public relations hook. If you consider this when planning your event and promoting it will be much easier.
