Scottish Migration Museum - Introduction
Scotland has attracted people from many parts of the world and the impact of international cultures on Scotland’s cultural landscape has been wide-spread. Scots, too, have left their native country for other shores. Their international mobility has been truly global and Scotland’s impact on the history and contemporary landscapes of numerous overseas countries is great.
The Scottish Migration Museum is an opportunity for Scotland to present its migration story to the world in a passionate and accessible way and will encourage communities to explore and share their own rich heritage of movement of peoples and cultural impacts, both at home and abroad.
