The Taking Part survey of participation in arts events and activities includes attendance at museums and galleries. The results of the research can be found on the Scottish Arts Council website.

Children’s Participation in Culture and Sport –Scottish Government, 2008

To supplement the Scottish Household Survey Culture and Sport Module, the Scottish Government conducted research into children’s participation in Culture and Sport. The results of this research can be found on the Scottish Government website.

Exploring the links between transport and culture - Scottish Government, 2008

This research explored the role of transport as a barrier to participation and attendance in cultural activity throughout Scotland. It makes recommendations on how accessibility by public transport could be improved, whilst also considering other modes where relevant. Business models and financial instruments for the museums, libraries and archives (mla) sector: review of the literature and survey results – MLA, 2008

This report describes the current state of thinking on sustainability and links it to the mla sector. It discusses a number of models currently being used, as well as newer models which may be of relevance. It provides a brief overview of current sector trends and engagement with sustainability and sustainable business models. It also contains the results of a survey conducted with sector organisations.
