Heritage Volunteer Organisers Scotland (HVOS)

HVOS was launched on the 7th November 2008.

It is an informal, free network open to anyone and everyone with an interest in volunteer management in the Heritage Sector, regardless of role. It aims to support, represent and champion the role of volunteer managers in our sector.

It will do this by:

  • Providing a forum for networking and peer support
  • Encouraging and sharing good practice
  • Raising the profile of those managing volunteers
  • Encouraging diversity

Since its launch HVOS has hosted four events with 103 people attending. It also has an online presence on ivolunteer with useful resources, up-to-date news and a forum to post questions and comments.

For more information on the network and its events contact Catherine Cartmell, Workforce Development Manager
