John Stewart-Young

John recently retired as Arts and Heritage Manager for Dundee City Council where he was Project Director for the redevelopment of The McManus in Dundee. He has worked in museums for thirty years starting with Hampshire Museum Service before coming to Scotland in 1987 to become Regional Arts Officer for Dumfries and Galloway where he established the Arts Team at Gracefield Arts Centre, Dumfries. He has been involved in numerous Lottery funded projects including Dundee Contemporary Arts, Broughty Castle and Camperdown House. He has served on the Visual Arts Panel of the S.A.C., is a Director of Dundee Industrial Heritage Limited and a Fellow of the Museums Association.
