Kirsty Lingstadt

Role: National Museums Director

Kirsty currently works for the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland. She has worked in a range of positions within the museums sector covering local authority, independent and national collections in Edinburgh, South Lanarkshire and Fife since 1995. She is particularly interested in issues regarding the digitisation of collections and preservation of digital material as well as access to collections through the web. She has been involved in a number of Heritage Lottery funded projects including Treasured Places, Basil Spence Archive Project and the redevelopment of the Scottish Mining Museum. She is an Associate member of the Museums Association and mentor on this scheme.
