BiographyJacky works for the University of Edinburgh, based in the Centre for Research Collections. As Museums Development Manager she has a range of responsibilities focused on the strategic support and development of the University’s diverse museums and galleries. She advises on policy and standards development across University Collections and teaches the exhibitions and display elements of two MSc courses.
Jacky has fifteen years experience working with museums and galleries, ten of which have been at a management level, and the last seven in the University sector. She has worked with military, local authority and independent collections. She is an active member of University Museums in Scotland, recently taking on the role of treasurer. She has significant experience of project development and fundraising, currently managing externally-funded learning and access, collections development and workforce development projects. She is particularly interested in libraries, archives and museums collaboration and convergence.
