Event information

Date: 7th May – 3rd July

Organiser: Arts Marketing Association

Venue: Online

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is everywhere and it’s here to stay. The speed of innovation and questions over ethics can make it seem like a runaway train that we can’t keep up with. However once you get to grips with the basics it can open up a world of tools that can save you huge amounts of time.

This brand-new online course will explore the basics of using AI, from creating prompts to using AI for image generation or data analytics.

The course comprises of six live sessions, plus two labs where delegates will be able to ask questions and share their feedback. Over eight weeks you’ll explore key concepts and practical examples across six modules:

  • AI tools landscape — the big picture
  • Human-first prompting and generative AI
  • Creative content — text ideation, copywriting and editing
  • Creative content — images and visuals
  • Video production and editing
  • Data analytics

Why do the Essentials of AI for Marketing course?

The course modules work together to help you develop a rounded sense of the potential uses of AI, as a marketer in the arts, culture and heritage sector.

It encourages a slow and steady adoption of the tools available, and offers participants the time to explore, experiment, share feedback and ask questions.

As it’s a live course, we will also be able to adapt the content to our participant’s needs (and offer insight into any of the latest developments in AI that occur during the course).

Who is it for?

This practical course is best suited to those who produce marketing content, and have little to no experience in using AI.

Taking the course — from Wednesday 7 May 2025

Essentials of AI for Marketing takes place entirely online for eight weeks from Wednesday 7 May. Modules take place once a week, with a break in the middle of the course. There will also be a small peice of homework set per module.
