Event information

Organiser: MGS

At this Knowledge Exchange event we will be exploring health and wellbeing in museums. We will also be seeking your input on how Museums Galleries Scotland can support this work.
We will be joined by Ruthanne Baxter, Civic Engagement Manager of Heritage Collections at the University of Edinburgh and Alicia Watson, Learning and Access Curator at Glasgow Museums.
Ruthanne is the founder of Prescribe Culture, the University of Edinburgh’s flagship heritage-based non-clinical health and wellbeing initiative, supporting those with mental heath through social and cultural prescribing.
Alicia leads on Glasgow Museums Ageing Well programmes. She will explore the recent project with Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland as well as touching on Glasgow Museums health and wellbeing work.
Whether you’re already delivering health or wellbeing programming or are new to this work, join us for this opportunity to hear from others in the sector, share your opinions and help shape how we approach health and wellbeing in future.
This event is open to anyone with an interest in health and wellbeing in museums and galleries. We would welcome anyone working or volunteering in museums, galleries, health, wellbeing, or community settings in Scotland to join us.
Please note, this event will be recorded. Captions will be provided.
