Knowledge Exchange: Learning for Sustainability

Free session for learning practitioners in the museum sector aiming to support the education of young people on climate action.

This Knowledge Exchange event will explore how museums and heritage organisations can facilitate the education of young people on climate action using their collections and sites.

We will be joined by Scotdec Global Learning Centre who will share their approach to learning for sustainability. Lucy Neville, Climate Officer at MGS, will highlight the support available for museums and heritage organisations looking to engage with this work. The McManus Dundee and St Andrews Heritage Museum and Garden will also share case studies from their projects that were part of the Wild Escape 2022 initiative.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss:

  • Scotdec’s learning for sustainability programme and engagement with schools
  • How museums and heritage organisations can use their collections and sites to support young people’s climate actions.
  • Share learning and best practice for climate actions.

This meeting will be hosted on Zoom. Live captions will be available.
