Knowledge Exchange: Working with influencers

Find out how your museum or gallery can work with influencers to engage with your target audience and raise the profile of your organisation.

Event information

Date: 23 January

Time: 14:00 – 15:00

Organiser: MGS

Venue: Online

Interested in working with influencers to help promote your museum or gallery but don’t know where to start? Are you concerned you don’t have the budget or the capacity to explore this option?

This Knowledge Exchange will help you ask the right questions so that you can make a more informed decision on whether to include influencers as part of your marketing mix. We will explore:

  • The benefits of working with influencers
  • The type of content that influencers can create
  • How to find the right influencer who will engage positively with your target audience
  • How to measure success.

We will be joined by Julie Cumming from the Dundee Heritage Trust and Kay Gillespie, a travel blogger/influencer.

Julie Cumming is the Marketing Assistant at Dundee Heritage Trust and has experience working with influencers – of many kinds – at Discovery Point and Verdant Works. She’ll share insights from her experience and tips for making the most of influencer visits.

Kay Gillespie @TheChaoticScot is one of Scotland’s best known travel bloggers providing Scottish travel inspiration and information to people all over the world. She has helped MGS in the past to promote a variety of museums as part of our #MuseumsAreGo campaign.

Whether you’re a complete novice or have already had some experience of working with influencers, but would like to know more, please join us. There will also be time for questions at the end.

This event will take place on Zoom.

This event will be recorded and live captions will be available.
