The inaugural Scottish Culture Comms Conference is a free, one-day event for communications professionals and individuals in the heritage and culture sector who engage with the media. The focus will be on press, PR, and media relations, rather than paid marketing or digital activities, though there may be some overlap. The event will foster knowledge exchange through panel discussions, presentations and case studies, featuring culture professionals, PR practitioners and members of the media.

Providing valuable insights for both seasoned communications professionals and those new to the field, the conference will run from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a sandwich lunch included. This event offers an opportunity for networking, learning, and sharing experiences among peers in Scotland’s culture and communications sectors.

If you would like to contribute to the programme, whether a case study or a panel contribution, or if there’s an idea you’d like to discuss, please contact media@nms.ac.uk.

NMS can support travel costs for some delegates. If you work or volunteer in the heritage sector in Scotland and would like to attend, but feel unable to due to travel costs, please contact media@nms.ac.uk as soon as possible. Tell NMS your organisation, role, expected travel costs, if and how much your organisation can support, and how much further support you need. This will help NMS to ensure support is given where it’s most needed.
