Working Hours: 0.8 FTE (4 days, 28 hours per week)
Contract: 12 months fixed term contract
Salary: Starting salary £24,379 pro rata (£19,503)
Location: Hybrid/Edinburgh

About the Role
Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS) is the National Development Body for Scotland’s museums and galleries sector – this includes 440 museums and galleries of all sizes and organisational types. MGS is recruiting a Digital Marketing Modern Apprentice (‘DMMA’) to join our Marketing and Communications team. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who has a desire to learn and an interest in digital communications channels. You will have an interest in museums and the wider heritage and cultural sector.
As a DMMA you will learn about marketing in the museums sector and how to engage with Museums Galleries Scotland (MGS)’s audiences and partners, particularly through digital platforms. You will gain experience of creating and supporting marketing campaigns as well as working towards a Diploma in Digital Marketing at SCQF level 6.
Preference will be given to applicants who:
- Have not completed (or are due to complete) a university degree;
- Do not have significant paid work experience in the museums sector;
- Have experienced barriers to employment.
