About the Role
We are looking to recruit a trustee/treasurer to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Board. Wanlockhead Museum Trust is a registered charity (SC001508) that runs the Museum of Lead Mining. We preserve, conserve and share the important social and industrial history of the past lead mining industry at this remote location in S West Scotland. This small, independent museum is both Accredited and holds a Recognised Collection. We are specifically looking for a trustee to fulfil the role as Treasurer, but are very happy to talk to any potential trustees who are keen to be involved.
Qualities
- Knowledge and experience of current and fundraising finance practice relevant to voluntary and community organisations
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial management.
- Good financial analysis skills.
- Good IT skills, spread sheets etc
- Ability to communicate clearly
- An understanding of the charity and its purpose.
Time commitment – Four Board meetings, plus AGM, annually. Some Board meetings are held on-line. – Time to fulfil requirements of post. Annual turnover ~£160,000.
