Workforce for the Future: Pilot
About the project
This project involved working in partnership with Developing the Young Workforce (DYW), museums and schools in lower Scottish Index of Multiple Depravation areas (SIMD). Pupils work to deliver an exhibition in a local museum, learn about the diversity of job roles in the sector and increase their employability skills. The ‘Workforce for the Future’ pilot project was funded through the Culture and Diversity Fund from Scottish Government.
Each museum worked with a school chosen in partnership with DYW and created a different learning resource that can be used by schools and museums alike across Scotland.
Who we are working with
We have worked with the following museums:
- Arborath Signal Tower
- HMS Unicorn
