Programme overview

MGS and the City of Glasgow College are delighted to offer the following funded Leadership training course. Please note that places are limited and only available to participants from the Greater Glasgow region. The program covers six topics and will be delivered in person over four days. Refreshments will be provided on each day of the course.

Programme details

Executive Innovation Leadership Workshop
Focusing on strategic thinking, this session will help leaders become more confident in guiding their teams through change. It will improve the ability of leaders to make smart, informed decisions by developing the key leadership skills and competencies required to drive innovation.

Blue Ocean Strategy: Creating Uncontested Market Space
This practical session provides a step-by-step process to find untapped market opportunities by using tools to redefine industry boundaries to create new demand, rather than competing in crowded markets.

Harnessing Research Insights to Drive Business Innovation
This session will identify how businesses develop data-driven insights from market and industry research. It will also highlight the importance of analysing consumer or user behaviour, trends, and emerging opportunities to increase the success of new products and services.

Strategic Innovation: Tailoring Your Strategy for Success
This session provides personalised advice and guidance on developing innovation strategies aligned to business strategy. By focusing on specific challenges, including growth or operations, we will provide the tools to develop and support implementing a coherent strategy for innovation.

Innovate and Grow: Developing New Ideas for Your Business
This session will introduce and make use of the tools and frameworks to test and refine ideas. By encouraging creative thinking and fresh approaches to business challenges, the session will help businesses manage ideation to rapidly prototype and test new concepts.

Ecosystem Mapping for Business Strategy
This session will allow businesses to expand opportunities to collaborate by understanding the ecosystem in which they operate. We will support businesses to map their ecosystem and ways to identify new opportunities that can accelerate business growth.

The dates for the training are :

  • Week 1 – Monday 3rd March, 10am – 4:30pm
  • Week 2 – Wednesday 12th March, 10am – 4:30pm
  • Week 3 – Tuesday 18th March, 10am – 4:30pm
  • Week 4 – Tuesday 25th March, 10am – 4:30pm
