Clear access information can make a huge difference to visitors planning a museum trip. In partnership with VocalEyes, this session will explore best practice for creating effective museum access pages and making website information more accessible.
In the 2025 Euan’s Guide Access Survey, 85% of respondents stated that clear and accurate disabled access information would be the single most effective way to reduce time and stress before making a visit. A good access page acts as a central hub for this information, allowing visitors to quickly and easily find out what they need ahead of a visit. Families with additional needs are clear about the value access pages add to a visit before they step through the door.
This session will help you to:
- learn why having an access page is important for a range of visitors to help plan their visits,
- understand best practice around essential website access information and how to present it,
- learn how to make information on your whole museum website more accessible to a wide range of people,
- gain inspiration from good practice examples to inform your own access pages.
