Intangible Cultural Heritage, or Living Heritage, is cultural heritage that is living and currently practiced: oral traditions, performing arts, social practices, rituals, craft, culinary traditions, and much more.
Communities across the UK are being invited to submit their most treasured traditions to a new inventory of living heritage. MGS is a Community Support Hub for this process and is offering one to one surgery sessions for anyone interested in listing a tradition.
You’ll have the chance to discuss the process for listing living heritage practices on the inventory, ask questions, and talk about any challenges you’re facing around the ICH listing process.
These sessions are designed for anyone involved with living heritage and Intangible Cultural Heritage in Scotland, who is interested in putting forward an ICH listing for Inscription on the National Inventory.
Please note, we will send you a Teams meeting invite via email ahead of your session.
These surgeries are taking place on Tuesdays between 6th Jan and 10th Feb. There are three time slots available on each day. These sessions are all 1:1, and can be booked on a first come, first served basis.
