Are you interested in exploring the challenges and opportunities of collecting video game heritage in the UK?
National Museums Scotland, National Library of Scotland, National Videogame Museum and Ukie are co-hosting a free conference in Edinburgh to develop a roadmap for collecting video game culture across the UK.
What will you learn?
Speakers from the heritage and video games sectors and academic researchers will explore:
- How video games are collected
- Who they are collected for
- How to make them accessible and engaging to a wide range of audiences.
Sector leading speakers will address themes including:
- Collecting strategies for video game heritage
- Copyright and IPR
- Preservation, both analogue and digital
- Access, interpretation and community participation.
Delegates are welcome from 09:00 for registration. Presentations will start at 09:30 and the conference will finish at 17:30. A sandwich lunch is included.
Tickets are free but booking is required.
