Peer to Peer Knowledge Exchange Bursary

Peer to Peer Knowledge Exchange Bursaries (PPKEB) are an opportunity for Museum Futures organisations to access funds to visit organisations they feel successfully deliver an element of programming or operations they would like to improve. PPKEBs are only available to organisations that have completed an Organisational Health Checker and subsequently met with a member of the Museum Futures team.

Where can we visit?

These bursaries are designed to accommodate travel within Scotland, however in special circumstances exceptions may be made to include hosts in the wider United Kingdom, given due justification.

What can be covered?

These bursaries can cover costs associated with:

  • Travel
  • Accommodation
  • Subsistence

Where possible priority should be given to the use of public transport rather than single occupancy vehicle use. Where multiple airlines or coach companies are available, on the same date of travel and for the same duration of travel, the cheaper option should be chosen.

If you are travelling a significant distance and/or at a significant cost, we would encourage you to investigate the option of visiting multiple host sites in that area.

Restrictions and limits apply to the amounts that can be claimed. Details upon enquiry.

Who is eligible to apply?

All applicants must have completed an Organisational Health Checker and the subsequent meeting with a Museum Futures team member.

How to apply

This bursary is only available to Museum Futures Organisations. If you wish to be involved with Museum Futures, the first step is to complete an Organisational Health Checker and return it to the Museum Futures Team.

If you are already involved with Museum Futures, please email the team about your interest in this bursary.
