Erin Moran
Capacity Programme Officer
Erin is the Capacity Programme Officer involved in the Museum Futures programme. She works closely with the different teams across MGS to support the financial resilience and collaboration capabilities of museums and galleries. She is enthusiastic about getting to know all of the different organisations involved with MGS and working closely with them to build on great ideas and address their development needs. Museum Futures is an innovative and inspiring programme, and Erin is determined to make real positive change for the organisations involved.
Erin’s passion for social justice and inclusion has led her to a variety of roles in mental health organisations across Scotland. She is particularly enthusiastic about community engagement and relationship building, skills which she brings to MGS – along with good ideas for diversifying income generation and promoting sustainability.
In her life outside of MGS, she enjoys line dancing and roller-skating, although not at the same time. Her favourite way to spend a day is a road trip to a new museum or heritage site, and she has a particular interest in medical history. If she’s not at a gig singing along to her favourite artists, she’s curled up with a book, a coffee, and her two pet lizards.
