Museum Development Manager: Research and Analytics
A light skinned person with dark grey hair scraped back in a bun, wearing a green blouse and glasses, stands with their arms crossed

Heather is our Museum Development Manager: Research and Analytics and her role involves managing research and evaluation projects and supporting colleagues to do the same. She also keeps colleagues up to date on any information and other developments which could inform their work.

Heather joined MGS in 2000 and has never looked back. Her library and information background has stood her in good stead for her role as general know-it-all and find-outer. She is interested in everything, so loves the range of collections and exhibitions available to see in Scotland’s museums, and can often be seen hanging about in museums at lunchtime and on her days off.

Heather is an enthusiastic maker, prepared to try most crafts at least once. Knitting will always be her favourite as she can knit at the same time as engaging in her other two favourite things – board gaming and watching sci-fi boxsets. Her superpowers are calmness, a really good memory and making good book recommendations.
