Jason Rose

Senior Advocacy and Public Affairs Manager
A person with light skin tone and short, light brown hair. They are wearing glasses and a black t-shirt and smiling into the camera.

As part of the senior management team, Jason leads our advocacy work, using his political antennae and campaigning background to help influence stakeholders, including MSPs, ministers, government officials, and funders.

Jason believes culture and heritage are hugely important to Scotland’s visitor economy, local communities, education, and public wellbeing.

Having started his career as a radio journalist and presenter, he has since worked in the Scottish Parliament and the environment sector where he managed campaigns and parliamentary engagement teams. Along the way, Jason also founded and directed a book festival, and helped set up and programme a cinema.

In his spare time, when he’s not glued to a book or a film, he enjoys cooking (often with homegrown fruit and veg), listening to an eclectic selection of music (recent gigs include Mahler and the Pet Shop Boys), and hillwalking (65 Munros done, only 217 to go!).
