Patricia Convery

Patsy has worked in the museums and galleries sector within national organisations in Scotland for the last 20 years and is currently Head of Marketing and Communications at National Museums Scotland. She is responsible for managing all the organisation’s marketing and PR activity such as the promotion of exhibitions, research programmes and acquisitions as well as driving footfall to each of the museums in their portfolio; the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, the National Museum of Flight in East Lothian, the National Museum of Rural Life in East Kilbride and the National War Museum at Edinburgh Castle.

She was previously at the National Galleries of Scotland as Acting Director of Audience Development where she worked on several key fundraising campaigns to acquire major works of art for the nation including the Landseer painting, Monarch of the Glen, and the pair of Titians, Diana and Actaeon and Diana and Callisto which are shared between the National Galleries of Scotland and the National Gallery, London. She has also worked on major capital projects such as the redevelopment of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.

Patsy recently stepped down from the Board of the Edinburgh Art Festival after serving as their Trustee for 8 years.
