MGS offers inclusive work experience for DuoDay 2025

Three adults stand together in an office, with the central adult holding up a certificate.

On November 20th MGS staff welcomed Kathryn to the team for DuoDay 2025, an equal employment initiative which pairs disabled people with employers across Scotland.

Kathryn spent the day meeting with staff and gaining experience of work at our organisation. Members of our Resources and Marketing & Communications teams provided her with insights into our administrative processes, communications planning, and website design.

Helen Raggett, our Senior Resources Manager, said: “We were very pleased to meet Kathryn and work with her for DuoDay. As a values-led organisation with a commitment to diversity and inclusion, it’s our ambition to be a place that works for everyone.”

Kathryn’s DuoDay placement was made possible thanks to our ongoing partnership with Into Work, an organisation which helps disabled and neurodivergent people and those with long-term health conditions find jobs and build careers.

Museums and galleries can get involved in DuoDay by offering one-day work placements. To find out more, visit the Scottish Union of Supported Employment website.
