Statement regarding MLA ceasing operations in 2012
Museums Galleries Scotland is disappointed by the announcement from the DCMS that the MLA is to cease operations by April 2012.

This report illustrates how museums and galleries help those in Scottish Government and local government achieve their objectives and meet the aims of their Community Plans and Single Outcome Agreements.
'Cornerstones of Communities' - Stakeholder summary
This summary contains five case studies which clearly illustrate how museums play an important role in bringing communities together.
