The Accreditation Scheme is being redesigned in 2025 and is currently in a discovery phase. The Accreditation Scheme will not close and, for now, museums are still expected to follow the 2018 Standard. Further information is available on Arts Council England’s website.

We have recently updated the Accreditation Schedule as a result of the Grantium system being down and the impact of this on returns. If you wish to discuss when your museum’s next Accreditation return will be due please get in contact with us.

The following table shows the returns schedule for Accredited museums in Scotland and the museums with Working Towards Accreditation status. This schedule was last updated in June 2025.
The schedule shows when your museum will be invited to submit a return and when your return is due by.
