Gabi Gillott
Museum Development Manager - Learning, Engagement & Wellbeing | She/Her
As Museum Development Manager – Learning, Engagement & Wellbeing, Gabi facilitates initiatives and programmes to support learning, health & wellbeing, engagement and skills outcomes across Scotland’s Museums. She develops networking opportunities across these areas, looking for opportunities to bring together folk together from within and outwith the museums sector to develop their practice and relationships. She advocates for the value of museums and vital work they do across Learning, Engagement and Wellbeing.
Prior to this role, Gabi worked across various projects and teams at MGS, including Delivering Change, Assessing SVQs, Youth Employability programmes, and Grants. Gabi has a background in creative community engagement, learning, and freelance art projects, having worked with a range of creative and community organisations. She is passionate about making heritage accessible to all and embedding inclusive practice across the sector. She is happiest when thinking, making and doing with other folk.
Outside of MGS, Gabi can often be found DIYing, gardening with her neighbours, spending time with her rescued racer greyhound Loki, sewing, and/or playing video games.
