Gabi is a part-time Museum Development Co-ordinator for the Delivering Change project at  Museums Galleries Scotland as well as Workforce for The Future Project Officer.

As Workforce for The Future Project Officer, Gabi supports the delivery of a national project involving Museums and Galleries working with S1 and S2 pupils in lower Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) areas to provide employability skills and learn more about careers in the heritage sector. As part of the project, Gabi is working with Daydream Believers to develop a learning resource that will be used nationally to develop skills, with the long-term aim of diversifying the workforce in museums.

As Museum Development Co-ordinator, Gabi works closely with museum participants on the Delivering Change programme, supports the Programme Manager to develop and deliver the Museum Learning Programme and is working on creating a network and cohort of museums. She also works alongside members of the MGS Museum Development Team, supporting them to develop how they help museums to engage with anti-oppression, inclusion and participation, with the aim of embedding this into MGS’s core approach.

Outside of MGS, Gabi is a freelance artist / arts-worker and enjoys thinking, making and doing with other people. When she’s not working, Gabi can often be found in hardware shops, talking about plants, and/or playing video games.
