Karen Jamieson

Karen is a Workplace Assessor at Museums Galleries Scotland, responsible for the delivery of the Museums and Galleries Technician Modern Apprenticeship. As a Scottish Vocational Qualifications Assessor, Karen works with apprentices based in museums across Scotland. Karen has worked in education for 15 years, as a classroom teacher and museum learning officer, and is passionate about supporting those on a learning journey to find the career they want in the culture and heritage sector.

Karen lives by the sea and loves to paddle-board, kayak, and occasionally brave a bit of sea-swimming. Spending time with friends, going to live events, and visiting cultural venues are a few of Karen’s favourite things.
