Kathleen O’Neill

Kathleen is currently Director of the Culture, Heritage and Arts Assembly, Argyll & Isles and has worked extensively with the museums and galleries sector since the outset of her career. This has included leading significant curatorial and educational change projects for Glasgow Museums and Galleries and working nationally and internationally to advocate and fundraise for social inclusion, participation, and skills building across the arts, museums, and heritage sector. With over three decades of cultural leadership experience, Kathleen is passionate about the positioning of heritage, museums, and galleries in a contemporary context to meet demographic need and to assist to address shared national and global issues.

Kathleen holds a BA(Hons) in Fine Art and an MSc in Heritage, Environment and Policy, with specialist interest in the intangible heritage of memory and identity.
