Scottish Government responds to Empire, Slavery and Scotland’s Museums Recommendations

Joint statement from the Intangible Cultural Heritage Scotland Partnership
The Intangible Cultural Heritage Scotland Partnership welcomes the UK Government’s announcement of their intention to ratify the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

New research and guidance on setting museum admission prices
AIM in partnership with Arts Council England, Museums Galleries Scotland, the Welsh Government, the National Museum Directors’ Council, and Art Fund, has published a report and success guide with recommendations based on research commissioned to explore current admissions pricing policy in museums and their impact.

MGS attends climate crisis culture event
Staff at Museums Galleries Scotland met with cultural organisations and Scottish Government figures to discuss public engagement strategies for addressing the climate crisis.
