Introducing the Museum Futures delivery team

Launched in July this year, the Museum Futures programme has been developed in direct response to the significant and ongoing financial and capacity challenges faced by the sector.

The programme is backed by £4 million of Scottish Government funding and was developed in partnership with the Scottish Government, Museums Galleries Scotland, and The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The programme offers a suite of targeted funding and wraparound support, which includes training programmes for the museum sector workforce and access to various resources.

To support the delivery of the programme, we have established a dedicated Museum Futures delivery team.
